James Malcolm Campbell, 69, of Ridgeway, Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Hospice Home Rockingham County. He was born on October 17, 1948 to the late Walter Malcolm Campbell and Virginia Shaw Nester Campbell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sue Watkins; and brother, Jerry Campbell.
Mr. Campbell served in the United States Army, attended Fontaine Baptist Church and was a truck driver for more than forty years.
He is survived by his wife, Etta Ann Campbell of the residence; son, James “Michael” Campbell and wife Denise of Ridgeway, Va.; sisters, Connie Beheler of Collinsville, Va. and Diane Compton of Rural Hall, N.C.; and brother, Frankie Campbell of Figsboro, Va. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Campbell Huffman, Chris Campbell, D.J. Branch, and Brandon Martin; and great-grandchildren; Harper Campbell, Nixon Campbell, Gage Huffman, Caiden Campbell, and Trey Branch.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Merle Brown officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services.
